Following the steep slope of the mountain, the space extends towards the lake through an enfilade of three rooms, articulated by two arches that progressively open up to light and water. The project enhances the existing structures by assigning a specific function and identity to each of the three spaces, inspired by their own characteristic atmosphere. The central void is maintained, allowing the fluid and flexible space to preserve its direct relationship with the lake.
Functional wooden volumes and furnishings, carefully crafted by the company’s artisans, are arranged along the perimeter, creating a light contrast with the materiality of the stone building. This new level is respectfully superimposed on the existing layers, providing a foundation that future generations can adapt to their own needs. Local materials and techniques are also used to restore the original beams, stone floors, and textured walls, following a long tradition of timeless sustainability.
